This Sangiovese Rose is crisp, dry and very well made. I love the length and texture as it really fits the bill for a crowd that likes red wines. This Rose is perfect for the summer and the kinds of foods we like right now. A stunner.

A small portion was left on skins for 12 hours, an unusual step for aromatics but which in this case, picks up additional distinctive varietal aromatics and a little more texture that you should perceive on the palate. We inoculate with aromatic yeasts to ensure we capture the pure fruit characters. Bottled at the family estate in Mudgee.

WS 90pts WE 90pts - Winemaker Notes - The winemaker s task with aromatic varietals like this is purely and simply to capture the fresh aromatics and flavours of the grape, and little else. We elected to harvest the grapes across three separate picks to give us progressively lifted ripeness levels and varying acidity.
