Inky and dense syrah with very subdued fruit.
Syrahs tend to be jammy, and we don't like wines that weigh on the sweet side, but this was outstanding. But what else can you expect from Mueller. This is still fruit forward of course, but with flavors and aromas of berry, black cherry and a hint of mocha while not coming off too sweet, this is a must have. Good luck finding the 2003. Nice smooth finish.

Wine Tasting NotesThis is a delicious, distinctive and decadently fruit laden wine. Intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry and mocha are echoed in rich and supple flavors. Toasted oak, vanilla and caramel flavors pipe in on the complex, smooth finish. While immensely enjoyable now, this wine will continue to age beautifully and gain in complexity over the next eight to ten years.
