- As far as mass produced wines go - this was surprisngly decent. This is a good place to start for beginners who are looking toexplore bordeaux-style wines. Not a lot to the wine - good or bad. But for the price point ($7 at Walmart) - I liked it much better than many in the same price class. Very food friendly.

- Surprisingly good after the first glass. It grows on you. Comes off a bit strong at first, but goes really well with sushi.

Based on the previous rating, I'll have to try this again. But my first impressions were where was the wine. Finish was absent, as was any flavor or mouthfeel. It reminds me or when I was 16 or 17, and not having much money for gas would go around the gas stations and without turning the read more...pumps on squeeze the handles to get a few drops. A little Union 76, a little Arco, a wee bit Shell. After awhile it all added up. If you can TASTE 5% or less, of anything , even gasoline, in a wine blend, then you shouldn't be buying $10 bottle of wines period. So my guess, is Roberto pretty much drained off the last bit of all the barrels and put it in a bottle and voila' sold it off as a blend. I'll give it another try, next time with Sushi, just to be honest. Modavi is one of my favorite tasting detinations. I haven't been there in a number of years, but love kicking back next to the fire and living like the padres, no worries, no snobs. (hide)
