Editorial Reviews for Robert Mondavi Winery Fumé Blanc Napa Valley
This smells decedent with rich notes of candied almonds, dried apricots, dried citrus fruits, candied grapefruit peel and an herbal top note all jumping from the glass. In the mouth it’s medium rich with a nice sugar/acid balance that keeps it lively. The fruit is supported by the generous acidity and complimented by an almond brittle edge. Real length with apricot fruit and nuanced caramel emerging on the finale. 92pts
An incredibly complex nose. OK acidity but still with a bit of flab. Very complex taste of buscuits and dried fruits. Nice
Excellent notes of leather, green pepper, and some form of "old spice" as per my wife. Great texture, medium tannins with complex mouthfeel. Bit disjointed but smooth with some form of midpalate. 90 point.
