Rather perfumy on the nose with creamy raw almond undertones to the slightly spicy pineapple and pear fruit on the nose. This turns even more floral with air. Crisp on entry with nice bright acids driving an apple laden midpalate that picks up some creme brulee and key lime pie flavors on the backend. Just a slightly creamy edge adds textural detail to the fairly bright midpalate. the flavors are a bit simple and lack the brightness of the texture, but this is so easy to drink, finishing with a lightly veneer of oak spice and vanilla. Has a certain elegance to it but is simple. 87pts

The wine displays aromas and flavors of creamy pear, green apple, melon and citrus fruit, mingled with notes of subtle toast, butter and yeast from malolactic fermentation and sur lie aging. The vivid fruit characters and hints of zesty, clove-like spice lead to a crisp, refreshing finish. Enjoy this delightful Chardonnay with crab cakes, simply prepared fish and poultry, and a wide variety of cheeses, including Brie and Camembert. 99% Chardonnay, 1% aromatic white varieties.

Our Merlot displays all the attributes that make this variety so popular: bright aromas and flavors of smooth cherry, plum and strawberry with hints of cedar, black olive and spice-supported by a supple texture with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. These qualities come from choice Central Coast Merlot grapes, with 9% Syrah for enhanced color and richness. The Central Coast American Viticultural Area (AVA), especially Monterey County, provides the temperate climate, cool breezes and moist alluvial soils in which Merlot thrives, developing ripe, fruity flavors while retaining good balancing acidity. We enhance the wine's pure fruit flavors with just a hint of oak for roundness and complexity.

This Cabernet Sauvignon brims with blackberries, plums and spices, with soft oak nuances from barrel aging.

Robert Mondavi s original vision was to produce wines from the Napa Valley that would stand in the company of the world s finest. This gift basket comes with one bottle each Cabernet and Pinot Noir from the Napa Valley and various food items.

Lush and velvety, this Merlot brims with ripe dark fruit and sweet spice character from grapes grown in the southern half of Napa Valley, from Oakville to the Los Carneros region.

Lively and Chablis-like, with fresh green apple, green pear and citrus notes. Clean and easy-drinking. Drink now through 2015.

If you’re looking for a big, rich, oaky fruit bomb of a Chardonnay, you won’t find it here. Instead, drink it with salmon, lobster or whatever your favorite Chardonnay foods are, and find an eager, but not egotistic, partner. The acids will cut through butter and oil, while the subtle tropical and citrus fruits will satisfy discerning Chardophiles.

    Winemaker's Notes:

Always consistant, vintage after vintage; full of forward fruit flavors without that heavy oakiness. In its price range the Mondavi is always a benchmark bottlingDisplays rich pear, citrus, apple, spice and mineral character, with hazelnut lacing the finish.
