Bright golden yellow. Moderately full-bodied. Balanced acidity. Moderately extracted. Moderately oaked. Ripe apples, vanilla, brown spice. Ripe, toasty, spicy aromas. Broad and textured with generous apple flavors and toasted-oak accents throughout; finishes in a flavorful manner.
Displays vivid layers of tropical fruit, citrus, hazelnut and exotic spices. Gentle stirring during barrel fermentation and a year of sur lie aging in Burgundian barrels weave complex, toasty oak nuances through the opulent fruit character.
A pale straw color introduces opulent aromas of Golden Delicious apples, creme brulee, Cavaillon melon and toasted hazelnuts. The expansive fruit flavors and luxurious texture are balanced by refreshing acidity that persists into the long, elegant finish. This is a wine that rewards the patient with beautiful evolution in the glass.
