Food Pairings for Robert Mondavi Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
I had this wine at Maggiano's in Philly on a recommendation and I thought it was wonderful. I'm normally not a fan of really full-bodied wines, but this had a great taste to it, a wonderful aroma, and went very well with my lasagna.
Earthy and deep with black fruit aromas. Palate is full bodied with loads of ripe fruit, some nice spice and warm tannins.
A crowd pleaser. This wine doesn't try to do any fancy tricks but is very enjoyable. Tannins are pretty well balanced now, so I'm not sure how this wine would stand up to aging.
Deep clear red/purple in color. Excellent nose (Lush fruit with hints of chocolate). Sits calmly on the palette and tastes of chocolate, cassias, and balanced tannins with a smooth finish
Outstanding! One of the best wines I've tried. Smooth, velvety, lingures and warms. Great aromas, you can taste the berries and spices. Just a great, great wine.
Flavors of blackberry and currents with a medium length finish.
Blend of 5 grapes. Scents of wood, smoke, and berries. Tangy start, dry berry flavor with a smoky finish.

The rsquo;93 Reserve outperformed the rsquo;92 at the winery, revealing a concentrated, splendidly saturated dark purple color, sweet, intense aromas of chocolate, smoke, vanilla beans, and rich blackcurrant fruit. The wine tastes more extracted than the rsquo;92, with a sweeter, more expansive, glycerin-imbued mid-section and finish. Although it carries as much tannin as the rsquo;92, the tannin is riper as well as better integrated. The rsquo;93 is a 25ndash;30 year wine that ideally needs another 4ndash;5 years of cellaring.

These rich, expressive flavors come from the diverse soils and climates of vineyards located primarily in Oakville and Stags Leap District American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) of Napa Valley. The vintage gave the wine solid tannins that support the dense, dark fruit character and provide excellent length on the palate. We aged the wine in French oak chateau barrels for over a year to enhance the smooth texture and add spicy oak accents.
Dark, ripe and intense, with a tight core of currant, mineral, earth and spice flavors. Turns dry and austere on the finish, where the flavors show more earthy qualities. Best to cellar into 1999.
Deep, saturated red-ruby. Lively, complex aroma dominated by blackcurrant, licorice and tobacco. Sweet and quite deep but very tightly wrapped. much more difficult to taste than it was prior to bottling. finishes with tongue-saturating tannins. Very firmly structures; today, the winersquo;s acids and tannins have not yet harmonized. A drier, serious style of cabernet, in need of bottle aging.

Delicious now, but itrsquo;s worthy of cellaring, too.
Supple and rich, bursting with ripe fruit in a generous style, with beautifully focused black cherry and currant flavors that are lively and elegant, tannins in the background, very fine texture and flavors that linger long and full on the finish. Great harmony, delicacy and toasty French oak. Drink 1992ndash;2000.
