Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir California Private Selection 2012
"Our Pinot Noir was produced primarily from grapes grown along California’s marine-influenced Central Coast. Reflecting the character of a cool vintage, which fostered the development of classic varietal aromas and flavors in our Pinot Noir grapes, this vivacious red wine’s hallmark is fresh, vibrant fruit. On the nose, lovely rose petal, strawberry, and sour cherry aromas mingle with complementary scents of smoky oak. Soft and round with good length and richness on the palate, enjoy this delectable Pinot Noir with grilled salmon, herb-roasted chicken, baked ham, or lighter pork dishes." -Winery
Very nice Central Coast pinot grigio. Light, crisp, airy with lemon peel, ripe peach and touch of grapefruit. Good mid-week drinker, especially for the price.
Passable pinot for the price range. Typical and uninteresting. Too Bright.
Two and a half glasses

Our Riesling exudes the fresh apple, pear, orange blossom and litchi fruit aromas that make Rieslings grown in cool-climates so delightful. Monterey County's long, cool growing season produced grapes with especially concentrated flavors, giving our Riesling an impressive weight on the palate, despite its moderate alcohol content.

Robert Mondavi created the first fume Blanc in 1966 - a crisp, barrel-aged, wine that captured the vivid character of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Our Fume Blanc exhibits bright citrus, melon, floral and mineral character from Napa Valley vineyards and a silky texture from sur lie barrel aging.
Tis wine is bright and fresh with rich mid-palate flavors of lime, grapefruit and melon that pick up a spicy peach tone in the long, crisp, mineral- tinged finish.
