I thought it was over-rated for a reserve cab. I expected more. It wasn't offensive, but it wasn't particularly amazing, either, that it should have been granted any sort of reserve status. Here's to hoping the winemaker selects better lots for reserve in the future. D-{

Wow! Still drinking great in 2008. A beautiful rich, well made bottle of wine. Velvety on the palate with well balanced acidity and tannins. A mouthfull of black and red fruits with some tobacco and leather notes. Finish is long and smooth. Nose is robust and inviting.

Panicked when I first opened it, because it smelled like bandaids. That happily blew off almost immediately, revealing layers of cassis, pllum, spice, and smoothly integrated tannins. This was a classic Napa Cab, aged to perfection. It may have another year in it, but its beautifully drinkable now so I wouldn't wait.
