What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Winemakers Notes

Intense dark ruby red color with sweet aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry accented with compelling hints of leather and smoke followed by a mouthful of delicious fruit flavors and soft, silky tannins. Double Gold - International Eastern Wine Competition 2007

Editorial Reviews

Wow this has a great nose rich with floral, mineral and spice tones all bracketing the perfumed fresh fruit tones. A big, sweet fruit laden entry is followed by a really crisp, well framed mid-palate full of wild berry/blueberry tones and intriguing savoey spice tones that recall pink peppercorns. The acid may be a bit high for many palates but it certainly balances the core of ripe fruit well and should allow this to work wonderfully at the table. Really solid wine from a producer new to me. 2009-2016
