Robert Chevillon Nuits-St.-Georges les Cailles 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2008 Les Cailles is a stellar wine in the making, and it was simply singing at the time of my visit. The bouquet is deep, very pure and classy, as it offers up scents of red and black cherries, great minerality, woodsmoke, gamebirds, gentle nutty tones and a deft touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, very pure and quite closed, with great mid-palate depth, fine-grained, substantial tannins and a very long, soil-driven and tangy finish. Really outstanding backend grip...93+" JG 11/09

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
