Château de La Bonnelière is a family estate founded in 1846. Current generation proprietor Marc Plouzeau began the conversion to biodynamic agriculture in 1999. This rosé – 100% Cabernet Franc - is produced from the flinty clay soils of the Chinon plains & is characterized by its delectable bouquet of blackberry married with raspberry and flowers. On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky with a balanced and lingering finish.
A family Domaine situated on the "rive gauche" of Chinon and around Ligré and la Roche-Clermault since 1846. Marc Plouzeau took over the estate in 1988 and works to produce small yields and only hand harvest. This young Cab Franc is dark ruby colored with dark fruit, black berries, bright acidity and steady tannins. This could stand up to a great steak any day.
