Food Pairings for Riunite Lambrusco Red
Enjoyable wine. Great sweet flavor.
Ruby red color, almost no nose. Very light, tastes of grapes and blueberries. Sweet, almost a dessert wine quality. According to the company's website, it is 70% fermented wine and 30% of the unfermented juice from the same grapes, contributing to the sweetness and the low (8%) alcohol content. Short finish. It has very almost no complexity, however it was enjoyable in its simplicity and very drinkable.
A NICE WAY TO START A BRUNCH REUNION GOOD ACIDITY WITH SOME TANIN REFRESHMENT
inexpensive, sometimes almost too sweet.
Bought this to cook with and forgot about it. Found a couple of the tiny bottles while packing. The tomato sauce I made with it turned out a bit sweet...didn't realize there were berry notes! When I found the leftovers I thought it might make a nice drinking wine, but it's still far too sweet for my taste, even as a dessert wine!
cheap, sweet, available
