What to Expect

Lambrusco may be more famous as a wine style - slightly fizzy and slightly sweet - but it is also a grape, or more correctly, a family of grapes. The wines produced from Lambrusco tend to be quite fruity with dark strawberry and cherry tones and a slight bitterness. They tend to have just a touch of tannin and bright acidity with a round, fleshy mouthfeel.

Winemakers Notes

This lively red wine with a forthright fruitiness, tingle and quaffability that bursts in the mouth is a charming complement to all your favorite ethnic foods such as Indian, Spanish, Chinese, or even burgers. Riunite is best-served chilled and is a popular thirst quencher at picnics, the beach, and at all casual social events.

Reviews

Very easy to drink for a non wine drinker. Fruity flavor with little aftertaste.

An excellent wine for the beginning wine taster unsure that they would like wine at all. It is slightly carbonated with a berry flavor. A perfect wine that no one has to try hard to like, unless you've moved on to the more sophisticated. It's also cheap which is, for those of with a slim pocketbook, a good find.

Wonderful as an introductory or casual wine, this red tastes very similar to non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice. Its light alcohol content and rich fruity flavor makes it a must-have for your emergency stash.

I agree with previous reviewers, it's a great 'starter' wine. Very sweet, and you'll have trouble drinking a lot of it and may get bored quickly. It tastes good though. A great casual wine for the non-snobby crowd.

Best-selling Lambrusco from Italy. Somewhat sweet with medium body, it's best served chilled. A good foil to hearty tomato-based chicken or pasta dishes such as cacciatore or spaghetti & meat balls!
