Founders Brunno and Urannia Ristow just released their third Cabernet Sauvignon, and it has three-peated their winning ways. This 1997 Cab received some of the best reviews of the all-around excellent vintage, and with good reason. This wine is a blockbuster, deep and mysterious, swimming with black currant, ripe plum, prune, vanilla, coffee, and earthy notes. Needs just a few years of bottle age to be at its very best. Enjoy from 2005 through 2010.

The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine exhibits concentrated black ruby color with a brilliant deep purple rim. Intense aromas of ripe black cherries, deep red rose, spice and sweet vanilla are just a small introduction to the flavors. On the palate, luscious ripe fruit builds to a bright round center filled with blueberry, black cherry, vanilla and bittersweet chocolate.
