Riesling Steinmetz 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

We are very pleased to offer our first vintage of one the rising stars of the Mosel - Stefan Steinmetz. Stefan has brought modern natural winemaking to a historic estate; hand picking, controlled yields, and only native yeasts. The estate owns parcels in the famed Brauneberger Juffer as well the undiscovered and underrated Wintricher Geierslay. These are compelling, DRY rieslings with plenty of utility at the dining table. The wine is pale and bright; dry but with a gorgeous mouth feel and very bright, dancing acidity. Makers Notes

Steinmetz:
In the heart of the Middle Mosel lies the picturesque wine village of Brauneberg, surrounded by some of the best vineyard sites in Germany. In our traditional domaine, the knowledge about winegrowing and winemaking has been passed down and improved upon from one generation to the next. Noble red and white wines age in our vaulted cellar, which was built in 1563.
