The color is a beautiful shade of light gold. Upon first opening the bottle I smelled a strong scent of pineapple but shortly after it calmed down and the aromas turned to a more of an apple scent mingled with a smell of pears and a tiny touch of hemp. I probably had my bottle just a little bit too cold, so I enjoyed the nose while it warmed a little in the glass. Now I was fully expecting a good deal of sweetness in this wine but I was welcomed with a Riesling that is wonderfully dry and refreshing and that boasts a smooth even finish.
