Riesling Dry Estate Troken Fritz Haag 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

"Comprising an 80-20 blend of Juffer with Juffer-Sonnenuhr, Fritz Haag 2009 Brauneberger Riesling trocken is more compact, pithy, and substantial – though, at 12%, only half a degree in alcohol higher – than its generic counterpart. This Riesling’s mingling of herbal and apple scents and flavors, however, has surprisingly much in common with the latter. Citrus zest, fruit pit, and wet stone convey refreshment, piquancy, and invigoration as well as some sense of regional typicity in a sustained finish. Perhaps this will reveal a more generous or elegant side with a couple of years in bottle...." WA 12/10
