Riesling Auslese Goldcap Nackenheim Rothenberg. Gunderloch 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is picked by hand and is selected several times from our steepest terrace. With 135° - 140° Oechsle it is among the best superior wines. A long-lasting wine with golden botrytis and great density, with a flavour of lime blossom and quinces. You should enjoy it with paté de foie gras, tasty cheese or almond cake.

Gunderloch:
Our great - great grandfather, Carl Gunderloch, a banker from Mainz, founded the Gunderloch estate in 1890. He bought excellent grand cru vineyard sites, NACKENHEIM ROTHENBERG, and became one of the pioneers of quality wine making on the Rhine River. Agnes and Fritz Hasselbach have been managing the 30 acres of vineyards in Nackenheim and Nierstein since 1979 and are the fifth generation owners.
