Winemakers Notes
Tasting Notes :72% ZINFANDEL, 12% CARIGNANE, 10% PETITE SIRAH, 4% GRENACHE, 2% MATARO.Three Valleys represents the blending of vineyards winemaking at its finest. Zinfandel fruit determines the wine's varietal character; old vine Carignane contributes its own bright fruit and acidity; Petite Sirah adds peppery spice, depth of color, and firm tannins. Mataro imparts a round, soft texture, and further complexity.
What to Expect
Zinfandel is considered America's own great indigenous grape, even though its origins lie on the Adriatic coast. Planted throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, Zinfandel is at its best in warm regions with cooler temperatures during harvest. The wines can range from off-dry Rosés, White Zinfandels, and light bistro styled wines, to big, rich powerful wines - even luscious wines for dessert bottling. The flavors range from plummy to raspberry, although deep blackberry fruit and brambly spice tones are most common.

This wine has a great fruit forward style and lots of zest if anything it is a little hot.
tar on the nose, with good spices. Good finish on the palate with good flavor.
Sandlewood and tar, allspice on the nose, probably my favorite part of this wine (right now). I think the 2007 is still too young, took a while to open up, 1.5 hours or so, at which point it showed some nice black cherry notes with good structure and acidity. i think this will get better if you hold a bottle, read more...
This is a go-to everyday wine for me. Solid but not too powerful. Consistent vintage to vintage.
Excellent spice and deep flavour. A winner at an excellent price
The wine is well-balanced with fruit, tannins and a nice amount of acidity. Because it is a blend, there is more than enough complexity to satisfy. The palate is full of blackberries, mocha, and dusty earthiness. The mouthfeel has a surprisingly smooth texture. The finish, true to the zinfandel preeminence, read more...
Still a bit too tight, but shows excellent promise with a couple years in the cellar.
Really enjoy this one... drank it while eating Aisan takeout ad was a nice pairing.
coffee and spice on the nose as well as a hit of black fruit...still a very young wine that needs to take its time and the tannins are sure to break down a bit...great fruit and spice on the plate...i would give my left arm for a filet and this bottle right now...
