Richibucto River Wine Estate Marechal Foch 2012

Member Review by andredegrace:

Vintage rating: NA Predicted year: Not very familiar with this varietal. Please read into the review to experiment yourself. Here we have a very deep red-purple wine that has, to the smell, very 'yeasty', dark berries and green pepper scents. In the mouth, it's slightly acidic with a hint drying tannins, but quite soft. The softness is not necessarily negative as the yeast and dark berries transfer well on the tastebuds. The finish is not too impressive. So, here we have a decently balanced medium bodied wine from a new winery in a very new area (in wine making). A pleasant experience that I hope becomes even better as the makers gain experience.
