External Reviews for Ricasoli Chianti Colledila
Lots of black truffles and berries on the nose and palate. Yet, supple and refined. Full, silky and delicious. Like the acidity in this. Very classy wine. A pure Sangiovese from a top single vineyard. Drink now. James Suckling. A Sangiovese wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2008 Barone Ricasoli Chianti Classico Colledila 750ml
Medium garnet hue with brick edges. The spicy bouquet of sandalwood fennel seed and mildly toasted cedar is reminiscent of Right Bank Bordeaux. The palate expresses dried morello cherry fig and ripe Santa Rosa plum. Subtle licorice and cola linger on the long dry finish. The tannins are still firm but fine-grained creating an elegant edge on the back end. This is expressive enough to enjoy now but the wood and fruit tannins will enable it to age another 2 to 4 years. The perfect wine for Tuscan and Bordeaux enthusiasts alike. Neil Mechanic.
