Rhys Alesia Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2006

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A wonderful nose with cherry fruit, tobacco, herbs, big dried herbs, bay leaf, a touch of funk lurking. Big and round in the mouth with seamless integration of the firm acids andgentle, balanced tannins. Very red fruited with currant and cherry tones gently backed by a taut tension that gives one the impression that this is holding more in reserve. Finishes with admirable length and purity to the cherry fruit. Immature. Drink 2010-2018 92pts

Very oaky, vanilla, sharp citric attack, not much complexity perceived.

Very feminine floral and raspberry nose with a touch of coconut shavings thrown in. Slight bitter coffee finish with ripe red fruit on palate. A touch hot and not cloying.
