Rex Hill Pinot Noir Oregon Reserve 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Superior fruit from every sub-AVA in the Willamette Valley. Complex aromas and flavors: black cherries, vanilla, plums, cassis, red currants, sweet spice, mocha and star anise. Long, elegant, focused finish. Balance and intensity to age but drinking well now.

This smooth wine flows gracefully over the tongue. Red fruit in the vividly perfumed nose translates into bright cherry and apple blossom in the mouth. Supple and subtle tannins lend depth without dominating or detracting from the silky mouthfeel. The winemaker describes this wine as "speaking with a distinctly feminine voice;" I couldn't agree more.
