This is a bargain at twice the price... and that would be cheap. Very fruity. Almost grape juice sweet. Short finish. Jammy zinfandel goodness. Great with pork chops on the grill. Price handicapped this would be 5 glasses. We had a Tignanello Super Tuscan last week that I loved. It was $100. I asked my wife today if it was 20X better than the $5 Rex Goliath?
External Reviews for Rex Goliath Zinfandel Monterey
The old-vine fruit from Lodi provides an abundance of ripe blackberry and cherry flavors. The Central Coast provides earthy, spicy, coffee/mocha notes. The "dry farmed" fruit from the Sierra Foothills provides the depth and complexity that really rounds out the flavor profile. - Winery
