Rex Goliath Pinot Noir Central Coast NV
Drinking this was just not good experience. The first taste I detected in each sip is almost like a bile flavor (yum!), and from there it was just bland and kind of medicinal. Not for me.
Smooth on the palate and love the price. Does not try and be anything more than what it is.
I think this is absolutely a great Noir for under $10
Toasty flavor leads to easy drinking with an excellent $7.50 aftertaste.
Poor quality control. I have bought several bottles of this over the last few months. It's nothing special, but also not terrible - at least besides my last two bottles. The wine in them came out cloudy with a sour taste and smell and appeared to be lightly carbonated. Not drinkable.
I had a 2001 and it was nice and smooth.
Good for the price....nice everyday Pinot

This deliciously gulpable PG shows why the varietal is so popular in America. Beautifully dry and crisp, full flavored in lemon, lime, peach and pepper notes, and clean through the finish, and you can't beat that everyday price.
Surprisingly tasty for the price. Well-balanced, with mixed berry fruit, preserves, tea and spice flavors that provide the wine with character and grace.
Weird name, simple wine, but not a bad one. It's awfully hard to get distinction in Pinot Noir at this price. The wine is dry, and there are some berry flavors wrapped in silky tannins.

With an intense American/French oak regime-and careful maturation -this wine truly expresses Pinot Noir varietal character. A deep red color and pleasant aromas are offset by a dry, harmonic blend of black cherry and a touch of vanilla, which stays on the tongue-producing a pleasant finish. With true varietal flavors and an easy-drinking and fruit-forward profile, it reaches a fine balance between soft and subtle, and complex and BOLD. It's the perfect wine for everyday drinking and can be paired with a wide variety of food: beef, veal, pork, lamb, chicken, and even fish. I imagine that you'd be hard-pressed to find a food pairing that doesn't work with this wine. - Winery
