Rex Goliath Pinot Noir Central Coast NV
Drinking this was just not good experience. The first taste I detected in each sip is almost like a bile flavor (yum!), and from there it was just bland and kind of medicinal. Not for me.
Smooth on the palate and love the price. Does not try and be anything more than what it is.
I think this is absolutely a great Noir for under $10
Toasty flavor leads to easy drinking with an excellent $7.50 aftertaste.
Poor quality control. I have bought several bottles of this over the last few months. It's nothing special, but also not terrible - at least besides my last two bottles. The wine in them came out cloudy with a sour taste and smell and appeared to be lightly carbonated. Not drinkable.
I had a 2001 and it was nice and smooth.

This deliciously gulpable PG shows why the varietal is so popular in America. Beautifully dry and crisp, full flavored in lemon, lime, peach and pepper notes, and clean through the finish, and you can't beat that everyday price.

With true varietal flavors and an easy-drinking and fruit-forward profile, it reaches a fine balance between soft and subtle, and complex and BOLD. It's the perfect wine for everyday drinking and can be paired with a wide variety of food: beef, veal, pork, lamb, chicken, and even fish.
