This is the wine from Maison Louis Jadot’s first venture outside France since their inception in 1859, made by famed Jadot Winemaker, Jacques Lardière with his 42 years of experience in making some of the greatest Pinot Noirs in the world. The Resonance Vineyard is located in the prestigious Yamhill-Carlton District of the Willamette Valley. It’s a property with 19 acres planted to Pinot Noir. The vineyard sits on a convex portion of a low, west-east oriented ridge emerging out of the Coast Range and lies at an altitude of 80 to 150 meters above sea level. Soils are primarily Willakenzie (old sedimentary deposits) and Yamhill (ancient submarine basaltic soil). With its non-grafted rootstocks planted in 1981, the dry-farmed vineyard is one of the oldest in the Willamette Valley. The wine was aged 15 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Wine Enthusiast made it a "Cellar Selection" They scored it 94 points and said "The eagerly anticipated first release from Maison Louis Jadot’s Oregon project does not disappoint. Long time Jadot winemaker Jacques Lardière has put all his heart and expertise into this wine, sourced from a much-loved vineyard recently acquired by the firm. Concentrated raspberry purée comes through in both aroma and flavor, with laser focus. It’s a magical combination of finesse, silkiness and strident youth, with 20 years of aging potential. Drink now through 2035." Limited!
