Really nice, dryish red with plenty of fruit and dusty tannins.
This is somewhere between a classic and modern Rioja. It has those classic tobacco and smokey tones but the fruit and body of the modern Riojas. I believe they've achieved this through the perfect balance of the go-to Rioja varietals. Had this bottle sitting around for three days and it held up each and everyday and was actually best on the third. This wine will hold for a decade longer at least.
Had the 2002. Meaty fruit with a lovely and gradual finish with many layers. Bravo
