External Reviews for Renieri Rosso di Montalcino
The 2010 Rosso di Montalcino is an exotic wine bursting with dark red cherries, plums, spices and new leather. It shows the broad-shouldered style of Sangiovese along with a surprisingly dark expression of fruit for a Rosso. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2016.
This red offers sanguine and underbrush notes to its cherry flavor. Supple, with a firm base of tannins underneath. Moderate length. Drink now through 2015.
Good medium ruby-red. Ripe, slightly high-toned aromas of dark cherry, chocolate and herbs. Enters the mouth big and dense, then turns more graceful and delineated in the middle, offering plenty of creamy sweet black cherry and earth flavors. Finishes moderately long, with lively acidity and firm, building tannins.
