Rengo Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2008

Member Review by Eric Webster:

Bright and floral notes on the nose. Tabacco, black cherry, a hint of mineralality on the big full wine. Mouth feel is smooth with low acid but a tad bit tannic for me. It's freshly opened so I think it will come together very nicely in a half an hour. This wine is smooth and delicious. I can imagine having a great bowl of pasta, simple, with garlic, mushrooms and carmelized oinions with shaved parm aas a perfect compliment to this wine. simple, and beautiful. great buy at around $15.

Solid core of currant and plum, plenty of depth with a spicy, mocha and slight oak notes. Medium to full bodied, with fine, fruit-coated tannins and a clean refreshing mineral finish.
