Not as earthy as many of the Burgundies I've tried. It's light and fruity.
This is a very pleasant young burgundy, light and fruity after opening up nicely over the first hour after being opened. But it is no powerhouse. Priced about right at $18.
External Reviews for René Bouvier Bourgogne le Chapitre
Winemaker Bernard Bouvier inherited Pinot Noir vines from his father, René Bouvier, and continues to bottle under his name. Bernard now makes a lively array of red Burgundies, starting with this spectacular Bourgogne Rouge. Incredibly focused, with a mix of brilliant red berried fruits and a bright, accessible finish.
