External Reviews for Rene Barbier Mediterranean White Premier
Good clean white wine is hard to find at this price. Serve this well chilled at a summer cocktail party and the fresh grape flavors will lighten the mood.
Reneacute; Barbier Mediterranean White is made from the first pressing of Parellada, Macabeo, and Xarel-lo grapes, the same blend of grapes that produces Cavas. This is a down-to-earth country wine, cheerful; and crisp, with forward fruit. It delightfully enhances healthy Mediterranean-style fish, vegetable, veal, and pasta dishes.
This bright, friendly white has fruity, almost candied flavors of orange, lemon and lime, with vanilla accents and a round, soft texture kept crisp by tart acidity. Drink now.
Light and refreshing as a sea breeze, this crisp, limey Spanish white is a steal at $6.
Aromas of grapefruit and slate are clean. the palate runs zesty to the point of being spritzy, with pink grapefruit and apricot flavors. Tangy and juicy, and totally uncomplicated. A picnic wine in every sense.
