Rendola Brunello 2003

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

Reddish-bronze in color. The body is intensely concentrated around a structure of earth, tannin and fruit. After a few minutes in the glass, aromas of dusty plum and berry emerge through the haze of sweet, earthy notes on the nose. The finish is intense with strong tannins, heavy hints of plum and black cherry and dark, earthy goodness.

Shows floral and plum aromas, with freshly cut wood. Full-bodied, showing bright cherry and plum character on the palate, with a hint of vanilla. Silky and delicious. Best after 2010.

A little jammy on the nose, with strawberry and sultana. Full-bodied, with a dense palate, chewy tannins and a long finish. A full-throttle Brunello, but very good for the vintage. A new producer. Best after 2010.
