Sancerre 2008 / Fresh lemon and apple aromas are complicated by anise, green tea and herbs. Soft, round citrus flavors...provide good palate coverage. A low-acid, easy-drinking style of Sancerre that finishes with good clarity.

Sancerre 2012 - 86 points, Wine Enthusiast/ A grassy wine that is made richer with pear and melon flavors. Full and fresh, it offers green fruits layered with chalky texture. It could age until 2015, but is ready to drink.

Remy Pannier has been identified with premium quality Loire Valley wines since 1885, when it was founded by Francois Rémy. In 1956, Remy Pannier decided to partner with Maison Ackerman, the pioneer of Loire sparkling wine production. Ackerman then passed the company down to his son, Louis Ackerman, who kept the tradition of fine winemaking in the family for generations. Over the years, Remy Pannier has developed strong working relationships with over 800 growers throughout the Loire Valley. Working closely with these affiliated growers, Remy Pannier provides advice on the latest viticultural practices to ensure production of the finest quality grapes. Remy Pannier has built three state-of-the-art wineries in the premier Loire Valley wine districts of Anjou, Touraine and the Pays Nantais where all their Loire Valley wines are vinified. Remy Pannier’s attractive packaging reflects over a century of tradition and experience in Loire Valley winemaking. Production Area Located along the banks of the River Loire, to the east of Bourges, the Sancerre vineyard stretches over 2,770 hectares. Three types of soils dominate the Sancerre region – clay and limestone white soils, the "terres blanches" – pebbly soils, and the "caillottes" – siliceous-clayey soils. Grape Varieties 100% Sauvignon Blanc Vinification Rigorous yield control (65 hl/ha) is practiced to obtain complexity and minerality. Fully-ripened grapes are pressed and the must is promptly racked and placed into stainless steel fermentation tanks for a long fermentation of 18°C in order to extract intense and delicate aromas. The wine is racked and then matured in tank over the fine lees for a minimum of 6 months before clarification and stabilization of the first bottling. Color Pale gold with green hues Bouquet Grapefruit and gooseberries Taste Lovely and crisp, evoking flavors of lemon, herb and apple. This full-bodied white is minerally and dry with citrus notes and a long finish. Alcohol 12.5% Serving Suggestions A great accompaniment to shellfish, seafood, goat cheese crostini, and spinach salad with dried cranberries and walnuts.

/ No wuestion this is a taut, crisp, mineral, smoky Sauvignon Blanc from the grape's heartland. It has plenty of herbaceous edges, but the core is ripe, tropical and juicy.

Sancerre 2008 - 86 Points, Wine Enthusiast/ Crisply made, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc, relishing hedgerow fruits, green, crisp berries and a creamy texture. Pure fruit drives the wine, the structure coming from acidity and pear skins.

Sancerre 2010 - Sante Gold Star, Sante/ Minerally aromas of ripe grapefruit, honeysuckle, and gooseberry. Fresh and crisp on the palate, with citrus, limestone, and a touch of Bosc pear. Great balance on finish.
