Schmitt-Söhne is a large company that produces wines throughout Germany. They are best known for their Rieslings, produced in different regions within the country and from dry to sweet. They also make wines from different varietals in red, white, rosé and sparkling, also from dry to sweet.
Having been impressed with the regular Relax riesling and amiable to the pink, I thought I'd give this a go. The description says dark cherry, yes there is perhaps a hint there, and plum but I couldn't seem to find it present. On the light-side of flavour depths, there is a slightly dry, slightly tart, and crisp taste that will probably have others remark, "this is nice" but for me, not a lot of the luscious and opulent presence that I personally enjoy most. Give it a try, it might be your thing if this description sounds your style, but I'm seeking something a little more robust.
