Delicious and mineral-heavy kabinett riesling. Nose of hints of fresh bread, green nectarine, and ripe hard cheese. In the mouth gentle in the mid-palate with a mineral twang and slightly sweet fruit (golden apples, other) with some glycerin. Finishes with distinct mineral aftertaste balancing the almost sweet apples. Off dry, body medium, acid medium. Quite tasty.
Pours a bright deep golden color. Nice aromas of honey dew, melon, citrus and vanilla. Starts off with a nice 'sweet' taste of melons and honeydew. In the middle there are some mild undertoens of citrus and vanilla. Finishes with more melon and citrus flavors. A nice medium bodied wine that could have used a tad more acidity (maybe opened too late?). Overall, quite enjoyable!
Visually modestly yellow that starts off with a fairly muted nose - fairly typical riesling sweet-apple smells with a green/vegetable hint that definitely does not match what hides beneath. From the nose you would think it would be dry. The flavor is definitely sweet with an orange/citrus flavor, but the acid strength is there and does not back down to the sweetness, making for a wonderful combination. The body is surprisingly full leading to a creamy effect without being overly heavy. Between the strong flavors and the full body the taste lasts well through the mid and late palate and is extremely enjoyable. Certainly a lovely 'drinking wine', but strong and full bodied enough to stand up to spicy food or other good typical riesling pairings. I must admit I am a fan of riesling in general and haven't tasted a lot of 'great' wines to compare it to, but I am very pleased with this wine. In the realm of sweet rieslings this one is top notch.

Herersquo;s a surprisingly loveable Scharzhofberger riesling, which smells cold and mineral yet sends out clear, soft peach and Rainier cherry flavor. Those flavors resonate so long itrsquo;s easy to miss the minerality, which is substantial as the hill itself. Delicious and long-lived.
Like an orange Creamsicle, with a dash of vanilla, this is rich, supple and tangy at once. Great harmony and texture is punctuated by the bright acidity as this strides to a lingering finish. Drink now through 2025.

Starts off with apple and pineapple aromas, but quickly develops intensely mineral flavors to go alongside. Likewise, it seems round-almost fat-in the mouth at first, then finishes with refreshing acidity, a mouthwatering mix of sweet and tart. J.C. Wine Enthusiast. A lush, voluminous Riesling, with ripe apricot, lime and mineral lurking in the background. The structure is apparent from midpalate through finish, suggesting this needs more time to integrate. Best from 2006 through 2016.
Exuding a fennel, green tea and almond flavor profile, this bracing rsquo;99 Mosel exhibits plenty of slate, with a lingering finish. Well done. Drink now through 2006.
