Regaleali Nero d'Avola 2007

Ruby red in color. Full and persistent bouquet exhibits the delicate scent of almonds. Dry with a lingering finish and balanced acidity and tannins. Recommended with grilled and roasted red meats. Particularly excellent with roast game and hard, spicy cheeses.

Plenty of grapey, raspberry aromas, with hints of mineral and flowers. Medium-bodied, with good fruit and a stony, dried berry aftertaste. Clean and well done. Drink now.

An excellent value, the 2000 Regaleali Rosso is produced from a blend of indigenous grapes, 90% Nero d'Avola and 10% Pericone. Sweet, earthy, black cherry flavors intermixed with touches of pepper and lavender are followed by a soft, smoothly-textured red that is surprisingly long in the mouth. Drink it over the next several years.

Fresh, deep red. Blueberry, black raspberry, almond and spice on the nose, along with a faint grapey quality. Fat, rich and layered, with soft acidity and fine, dusty tannins. A more civilized style than previously for this wine, which had a tendency to show gamey and port-like qualities.

Bright ruby red color, this wine offers a rich bouquet of cherry, mulberry, and raspberry. On the palate, it is complex and supple, with ripe berries framed by juicy tannins.
