Redwood Creek Mendoza Malbec 2011
What happens when you cross a well-worn hiking boot with a well-trained palette? Well, you get a Redwood Creek Trailblazer - an intrepid approachable person who's always happy to tell you what wine goes with any adventure.
Elegantly spiced fruits on the palate, inky purplish tones for color and satiny soft mouthfeel. The aromas are still fresh and slightly alcoholic, but there are hints of cherry and blackberry. Flavors may include watermelon sweetness right at first, with emerging spice and earthy tones. Great bang for the buck!!
Very dry at first, opens up into a pleasant, rich dark fruit slightly oaky and earthy finish. Great value.
Not too wet or dry, nice finish with subdued hints of fruitiness.
