User Reviews for Redwood Creek Cabernet Sauvignon California

Winemaker's Notes:

Redwood Creek represents the adventurous spirit of California and consistently delivers a rich, flavorful experience at an attractive price. Product Description The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied wine which is well structured with tannins that give texture and fullness to the palate. Particularly noticeable are hints of black cherry, fresh berries and vanilla. Cal's Harvest Notes A cool wet spring yielded ample soil moisture and vine canopies. A very hot summer was followed by a long cool harvest period which allowed a record crop to ripen and develop flavors. Overall diligence and patience in the vineyards and craftsmanship in the wineries yielded excellent wines from what might have been a challenging vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon showed well for a second year in a row. . Serving Suggestions A bottle of the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is and ideal backpacking companion to enjoy after a long trail hike. The wine is especially complemented by hearty pork, lamb or beef stew.
