Redtree California Pinot Noir 2011
Redtree is an offshoot of Cecchetti Wine Company, founded by wine entrepreneur Roy Cecchetti in California. Redtree was inspired by a conversation with his daughter, who was admiring a certain oak tree in their yard. He decided to create a brand that is specifically rooted in California, much like that tree. The wines are fruit-forward and fresh representations of popular state varietals, intended for immediate consumption.
I was looking for Pinot Noie to pair with Brie and found this on sale at my local wine store. Read good reviews; decided to try. It is good! Light, airy, summery wine. Tastes of cherries and apricots with a tartness that could reveal strawberry if looked for. Overall, fruity and light. Pretty light red, translucent color, but I'm afraid this will turn out to be a "fast drinker" because I'm already through half the bottle! Would buy again and does pair well with my precious block of Brie!
Its not all that exciting.
