Redde la Moynerie Pouilly Fume 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

"La Moynerie" wine expresses all the density as well as the aromatic mineral and saline pureness of each soil. The very special typicity of this reserve should be served with fish cooked in a sauce or with white meat.

Bright straw, aromas of apples and green melon, flavor notes of oily lemon, granny smith apples, wet stone, that goes on an focused acidic flight for DAYS. Love this wine...enjoy with anything you squeeze lemon on!

This is precise, with great cut to the yellow apple, straw and verbena flavors, laced with fine acidity and backed by a long, lingering flint note on the finish. Drink now through 2012.

Floral peach and lime aromas turn earthy on the finish, supported by juicy acidity. Its ripeness and alcohol give it a fair bit of weight, calling for a roasted chicken.

This wine is made with grapes from 35-year-old Sauvignon. With golden tints and a citrus smell with fineness, it’s rich and balanced. A long end of taste with citrus flavour too. This wine is delicious by itself as an aperitif. It also matches seafood and fish very well.

This ripe and creamy wine is full of great flinty and green fruit flavors. It is a pure, fresh expression of the chalk soil Sauvignon, with its crisp aftertaste.

The 2005 Sancerre Les Grands Groux smells bracingly of salted lime, oregano and pennyroyal. Satisfyingly juicy, chalk- and herb-tinged, yet for all of its brightness of flavor curiously soft in texture, it finishes like a refreshing herbal inhalation.

This is a delightful expression of fresh, minerally fruit and crisp acidity. Sancerre is Sauvignon Blanc at its best.

Made from old vines, this ripe, intensely fruity wine has flavors of green plums and gooseberries to go with a firm, tight structure that promises a couple of years aging.
