Redcliffe Sauvignon Blanc(2004)

"White Wine Sauvignon Blanc by Redcliffe from Marlborough, New Zealand. If you've ever made broth from lobster shells and shrimp heads, you'll recognize the scent melding into this sauvignon: carapace on a gooseberry bush. Soft and restrained aromatics, but clean and easy to enjoy, with moderate green apple and grassy notes that pick up a touch of spice on the finish. Ready to drink now.

If you've ever made broth from lobster shells and shrimp heads, you'll recognize the scent melding into this sauvignon: carapace on a gooseberry bush. If you can get past the bad pun, the fruit itself has complexity and amplitude, ripened to flavors of green pear and guava. Serve it witha salad of lobster and prawns with avacado. -Wines & Spirits
