- The Long Paddock Merlot 2003 is a deep, rich red colour withpurple hints. The nose begins with lifted aromas of blueberriesand blackberries, with some violet and tobacco notes addingcomplexity. The French oak is integrated and adds toast andsweetness. An elegant palate tastes of ripe berries on the midpalate,while fi ne grained tannins complement the fruit and sweetoak gives softness and length.
