Right off the bat you see a deep magenta color in the glass. Fragrant aromas of blackberry and black forest cake with hints of citrus blossom and subtle cashew oak fill the nose. The textured, dark berry fruit palate is alive with black pepper and licorice nuances. Chewy tannins coat the tongue and define the long, lingering finish.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Red Knot Signature Shiraz starts out a little reduced with some rubbery notes giving way to a core of blackberry preserves, charcoal and aniseed aromas plus a touch of prunes. Medium to full-bodied with a good amount of savory fruit, it has a medium level of chewy tannins and a medium to long, earthy finish. Drink it now to 2017.

This is McLaren Vale! Vibrant deep red with purple hues complement aromas of blackberry and cassis with nuances of chocolate and vanilla. Luscious blackberry fruit overflows from the mid-palate and is combined with fine tannins and a slate-like minerality. A full-bodied wine with a long, lingering finish, with good integration of its fruit, structural and subtle oak elements.
