Classic Washington Merlot is enhanced by a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon for structure and complexity, and Cabernet Franc to round out the fruity characteristics. Perfectly balanced fruit, lush tannins and acidity, this wine will make your mouth water for more." -Winery
Red Diamond is a brand of wines produced in Washington State since 2003. The wines are available in Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay. They continue to be some of the most popular American restaurant and bar wines, offering good bang-for-buck quality.
Just average. Not much character for $12
Great value red, good nose if you let it breath, nice wine for a weeknight dinner
Great wine; great value..if you're into the "vanilla, cherry combo" great choice!
2008. Very good wine for $7 (Trader Joe's). After aeration, fairly smooth.

Our Washington Merlot opens with a beautifully knit blackberry, cherry and spice scented nose with a toasty oak background. Sweet fruit on the palate is complemented by medium-bodied but firm tannins.
For four consecutive years Red Diamond Merlot was ranked one of America’s top 20 Restaurant Merlots according to Wine & Spirits Magazine. Made by Washington State’s Chateau Ste. Michelle, this affordable ripe red shows rich fruit and true varietal character. Winemaker Laura Sorge selects grapes from some of Washington's best vineyards and carefully blends 93% Merlot, 4% Cabernet and 3% Malbec. The wine is aged 12 months in French and American oak barrels for added complexity and style. Classic Washington State Merlot at a great price. It’s no wonder restaurant goers can’t get enough of it.
Aromas of bright cherry and cola, and hints of cinnamon introduce this Merlot. The silky palate displays flavors of black cherry, spice, and a touch of caramel and mocha, the finish is soft and begs you to drink more.
