- We started out the growing season cooler than expected. However,tempertures soon rose into the 90's, putting some of the crop ahead ofschedule. Then out of left field, cool weather hit us in late Septemberbringing harvest to a screeching halt, and we got to sit back and watchas fruit matured and flavors intensified. All in all, this was our fifthconsecutive awesome harvest in Washington state, characterized by fruitwith small berries, well balanced flavors and intense colors. Give me a slice of crusty bread, some extra virgin olive oil, a chunkof parmesan read more...cheese and a bottle of this cab - and I'm good for aheavenly afternoon. This Cabernet flaunts a spicy nose with sometobacco and cherry aromas. Intense, rich red fruits on the palate arecomplimented with a slight toasty note on the finish. (hide)
