Developed rim. Rich on the nose but dangerously delicate on the palate. Bit worrying in a way... Dry tannins on the finish. Shame because I'm sure the raw ingredients were pretty impressive.

The wine is a delicious blend of Grenache (65%) and Mourvedre (35%) grown in the Ebenezer area at the top of the Barossa Valley. The vines are 40-60 years old and are among the best of their varietals in the entire valley. The wine is aged in older French and American oak hogsheads and is limited in production. This was a great vintage for Grenache and Mourvedre so the wine is drinking beautifully now. However, this wine will improve dramatically with time in the cellar.
