Tasted at Geneva wine tasting 4/18/2010.
- Tasted at Lee's Wine Experience 11/7/09
Dark berries, plum, rich bouqet for a $10-$15 bottle. Good value Shiraz.
Lots of taste but very smooth, so far my favorite!
I really enjoyed this wine...it is more fruity than spicy and has a smooth finish. It was listed in the "mellow acidity" category of the menu we were ordering from.

91 points The Wine Spectator: "Polished, round and expressive. A gorgeous mouthful of ripe blackberry, plum, cherry and exotic spices, with hints of leather and brown sugar nibbling at the edge. The finish rolls on and on against superfine
Smooth and round, with ripe plum, blackberry and dusky spice flavors that just don't quit, lingering on the open-textured finish. Not a big wine, but flavorful and graceful. Drink now through 2012.
The razor's edge in this wine refers to the precision balance and winemaking perfection. Awesome fruit on the nose; great concentration of blackberry and cherry fruits on the palate, finishing with a light mocha note followed closely by the gentle sting of white pepper. The cooler McLaren climate darkens the berry flavors and keeps the alcohol in check, at a time when many Australian wines are pushing 16% and more. Practically gulpable, it goes down so easily - buy a spare because you're going to want more!
Smooth, velvety and appealing for the smoky edge to the dark berry flavors, finishing with a light edge of acidity. Drink now through 2012.
