Raymond Vineyard St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Aromas of summer fruits picked right at the peak of flavor coupled with the pleasant aromas of black tea, cranberries and a warm graham cracker crust permeate the glass with every swirl. In mouth, the wine has a pleasingly silky entry and weight as the taste of fresh strawberry jam fills your palate, transitioning to a well-structured, lengthy finish.

This is a really nice Cabernet. Pours a nice violet/purple color with some nice red hues mixed in. Towards the edges there are some pinkish hues. Aromas of strawberry, cranberry, raspberry and vanilla. Very appealing. Starts off with ample red fruit. Strawberry jam and cranberries hit the palate first and last throughout. In the middle and on the back end, there are some creamy vanilla and oak flavors. They really mesh nicely with fruit. This is a nice medium-full bodied red with nice silky tannins. NIce balance and structure. This can be drunk on its own, but is best with some food. We had with some grilled portobella mushrooms and some risotto.
