The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition exhibits elegant blueberry and black raspberry fruit, hints of burning charcoal and Provencal herbs, and good acidity in its full-bodied, fresh, lively, vivacious personality. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 2010 Domaine Raymond Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape 750ml

Deep purple core with a fushcia rim. Initially this is tightly wound, but then reveals plenty of high-toned aromas including floral, red fruits, and crushed rock. With time in the glass this really opens up nicely with layers of black and blue fruits... Geoffrey Binder. The 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition (80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre and the rest Syrah, Cinsault and Counoise) is a beauty. The Tradition has slightly more Mourvedre in the final blend than the Cuvee Girard. Both are dark ruby/purple-colored, full-bo... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape (a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, and the rest Counoise, Cinsault, and Syrah) had a traditional upbringing in tank and old wood foudres, with less than 10% kept in small barrels. It offers classic Provencal notes o... Robert Parker. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 2007 Domaine Raymond Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape 750ml

Ruby-red. Exotic bouquet suggests cherry-cola, vanilla and fresh flowers. Deep and luscious, but with admirable restraint and mineral snap to its powerful cherry and red berry liqueur flavors. Finishes sweet, broad and long. Very nicely balanced for ... Stephen Tanzer. A Proprietary Blend wine from Rhone in France. 2006 Domaine Raymond Usseglio Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Imperiale 750ml

I did a tasting of Raymond Usseglio's 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape. It is excellent, but reveals little color saturation, sweetness, and fat, and a compressed texture.
